Keith joined Pip Care in June of 2023 as the VP of Finance. Prior to joining Pip, Keith was running his own consulting practice in the health care space where he provided financial and operational support to private practice, digital health companies and other healthcare service organizations.
What is the most unique part of working at Pip Care?
This one is easy. It’s the team. I’ve never been part of an organization where the team has such deep knowledge and meshes so well. You know it’s special when you’ve got support from all your colleagues, and everyone is working toward the same goal. I think that’s incredibly difficult to find.
What is one the biggest lessons that you’ve learned in your career so far?
There is no greater boost than showing someone you believe in them. Far too often people don’t have enough confidence in their abilities. Mix in a little support from outside and you’ll find they can do anything.
What was your very first job and what did you learn from it?
I worked in the business office of an engineering firm. I didn’t know anything about engineering, so I was forced to ask a lot of questions to develop my knowledge base. That experience taught me that having a deep understanding of how a business operates is critical to success. Oh, and that the copier definitely won’t work when you need it the most.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know.
I’m an avid whitewater kayaker and spend most of my weekends on the water. I’ve traveled all around the US chasing the best rivers in Washington, Oregon, Colorado and all along the East Coast.
